The Garden Appreciation Group recently enjoyed a visit to the beautiful Queen Elizabeth Memorial Garden in Regent's Park.
Although it was an incredibly hot and energy-sapping day, the garden was a joy to explore. We were especially inspired by the clever planting scheme, which featured a wonderful variety of drought-tolerant plants that thrive without constant watering. With our summers becoming hotter and drier, it gave us plenty of ideas and inspiration to take back to our own gardens.
As we wandered through the garden, we couldn't help imagining how different it must look throughout the seasons. We all agreed that a return visit in the spring is a must, when the borders will be bursting with colourful spring flowers. It will be exciting to see the garden transformed—we may hardly recognise it!
It was a thoroughly enjoyable day, filled with inspiration, conversation, and a shared appreciation of beautiful gardening.
