2026/2027 Membership Renewals
Message from your new Membership Team, Freda and Andrew.
The annual membership renewal process for the 2026/27 period will start at the end of January with all our members being sent a personalised renewal notice by email. The email will have full instructions including how to pay via online banking. We would urge you to use the online process as it is more efficient and cost effective for us. However, cheques can still be sent to Freda, the Membership Secretary.
Some important points to note:
* For online banking payments, please double-check the bank account and sort code to ensure they are correct.
* Membership is per person so you need to complete the renewal form and pay as individuals.
* We now deliver our Newsletter "Buzz" electronically via email. This means there is a single membership fee for all.
Membership fee for 2026/27 will be ;
£40 per person which runs from 1st April 2026 to 31st March 2027
If you are in receipt of any income, housing or disability benefits, please discuss your membership fee in confidence with the Membership Secretary on 07532 26800.
Gift Aid
This is important to charities like Hillingdon u3a as Gift Aid is a contribution given by the Government to charities based on those members who pay income tax. If you are a UK taxpayer, you can opt to gift aid your payments and the Government will return a portion of the fee back to the charity (in this case Hillingdon). This does not cost you anything.
As your circumstances may change from year to year, please go into your personal profiles in Simple Membership and check that your Gift Aid declaration is up to date. You only have to indicate yes or no.
Emergency Contacts
Whilst processing renewals, we have noticed that a large number of people have not filled in details of their emergency contact. It is really important that we have this information so that we know your preferred contact should you become unwell or have an accident when you are with a group.
Please go into your profile on SIMPLE and make sure all your details, including your emergency contact and Gift Aid preference are up to date.
It is not difficult to access your profile but for those of you who are not confident there is a User Guide that will help you through the proccess. Click here for the User Guide
