Our October walk will be circular from Slough via a couple of parks, the Jubilee river and along the Thames to Windsor, then back via Eton and the Jubilee River to Slough. The total distance is approx 6.5 miles, with lots of views of Windsor Castle and Eton College.

We will stop for refreshments at the King & Castle (Wetherspoons) in Windsor, after 3.5 miles. The walk is mostly flat and on hard paths, but there is a section along the river on grass that may be muddy.

We'll meet at Uxbridge Bus Station, (bus stop O, at the far end of Bakers Rd) to get the 458 bus to Slough leaving at 10.15am.

The walk itself will start from the bus stop on the A4 opposite the big Sainsbury’s at the A4/A412 junction, at approx.10.50am. If you prefer to make your own way to Slough, and meet us at the start of the walk, please let me know.

The walk will finish near Slough Station, where we will get a bus back to Uxbridge (or you can take the Elizabeth Line). If you don’t feel up to the whole ramble, there is the option of getting the train from Windsor back to Slough.
