Originally, throwing pointed weapons at a target was a military pastime. It developed to the game we know today in 1896 when the dartboard was invented.

In 1908, the game of darts was declared to be a game of skill and was then allowed to be played in pubs.

Now very much a social game, it's a great activity for u3a.

Why not join our Darts group which is in South Ruislip on 1st & 3rd Mondays at 2pm.

The pub venue has 2 dart boards with an electronic score recording system. The pub can provide darts for those who don’t have their own. The cost is £5-00 refundable on return.  There is no charge to play but it is expected that you do have a drink or two. Food is available to order at the bar.

Parking. They have a car park for patrons but it is essential that on arrival you enter your car registration at the terminal provided to avoid being charged by the company authorised to monitor parking. Alternatively, you can park for free in a nearby store car park (behind the pub) for up to 5 hours (less than a 3 minute walk). The 114 bus stop is close by the library, a 4/5 minute walk, the E7 bus stop is about 5/6 minutes away on West End Road and the Central Line station is a 1 minute walk.
