Theatre visits are researched and arranged by a Theatre Committee. They try to book and organise two trips a year covering both the London Theatres and some of the suburban ones. They provisionally book tickets while other elements of the trip are considered and then make a firm booking, usually a couple of weeks later. They may check a trip proposal with u3a members at a monthly meeting, to see what the level of interest there is and if this goes well, we take the booking process further.

If you wish to join one of the trips, keep checking this page or the Events page for the launch of any new Theatre visit. These pages will also include a link to the booking site you'll need to secure a place.

The trips are great fun and anyone in Hillingdon u3a can join in but there are a limited number of tickets available. They are issued on a “first come, first served” basis and your place is secured once you've booked your ticket. If you are unsuccessful, they will be a waiting list you can register on so if there are any 'Drop-outs', they can offer the place to members on the waiting list.

The previous Theatre Committee stepped down in 2025 and we thank them for many years of service and a lot of very enjoyable Theatre Trips.

A new Committee has now been formed and the Group is being relaunched in March 2026 with an announcment of a new Theatre Visit as can be seen below.

The new Committee is : Tony Kemp, Perin Kerawalla and Ken Wigglesworth.
