Pickleball is a racket or paddle sport in which two or four players use a smooth-faced paddle to hit a perforated, hollow plastic ball over a 34-inch-high net. Pickleball is played indoors and outdoors.

Pickleball started as a childs game in the USA and it's name comes from the pickle boat term used to describe a crew made up of leftover rowers. The game started by using leftover equippment from other racket sports.

This activity is particularly suitable for those who have a good eye for ball games and are able to move quickly and safely round the court.

This is a new group that meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month at 1pm to 2:30pm in Rickmansworth Sports Centre.
